Our client, a leader in agricultural innovation, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Agronomist to join their team in Orlando, Florida, US . This role is dedicated to advancing sustainable agricultural practices and enhancing crop yields through expert agronomic knowledge and cutting-edge research. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in crop science, soil health, pest management, and the implementation of environmentally responsible farming techniques. You will work closely with farmers, researchers, and management to develop and execute strategies that improve farm productivity, resource efficiency, and environmental stewardship.

Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement comprehensive agronomic plans for a variety of crops, focusing on sustainable practices. Conduct field research, experiments, and trials to evaluate new crop varieties, fertilizers, pesticides, and cultivation techniques. Analyze soil, plant tissue, and environmental data to provide recommendations for optimal crop management. Advise farmers and agricultural operations on best practices for soil health, water management, and integrated pest management (IPM). Monitor crop health, identify diseases and pests, and recommend appropriate control strategies. Promote and implement sustainable agriculture initiatives, including organic farming methods, precision agriculture, and water conservation. Stay abreast of the latest advancements in agronomy, agricultural technology, and regulatory changes. Prepare reports, presentations, and educational materials for internal teams and external stakeholders. Collaborate with research institutions and industry partners to foster innovation in agriculture. Provide technical expertise and mentorship to junior agronomists and farm managers. Qualifications: Master's or Ph.D. in Agronomy, Crop Science, Soil Science, or a related agricultural field. Minimum of 7 years of experience in agronomy or crop management, with a strong focus on sustainable agriculture. Proven experience in conducting agricultural research and field trials. In-depth knowledge of crop physiology, soil science, plant pathology, and entomology. Experience with precision agriculture technologies and data analysis tools. Familiarity with organic farming principles and certifications. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in field and office settings. Knowledge of Florida's agricultural landscape and challenges is a plus.
