Reporting To: Environmental Program Lead / General Manager
Location: WA/OR State preferred, work from home with occasional travel as required

Position Summary
We are seeking a mid‑level Environmental Scientist to provide hands‑on technical execution and quality control across active environmental projects. This role is focused on doing the work: producing deliverables, supporting permitting, and ensuring technical accuracy; rather than strategic leadership or business development.
This position is well‑suited for an experienced consultant who is comfortable operating independently in a fast‑paced, multi‑client environment.
Key Responsibilities
Execute and quality‑check environmental deliverables, including reports, plans, and permit documentation.
Support federal and state regulatory compliance activities tied to infrastructure and environmental projects.
Provide technical input on environmental permitting (e.g., SPCC, UST/AST, compliance frameworks).
Identify technical risks early and raise issues clearly to project leadership.
Coordinate with project managers and operations staff to meet project schedules.
Engage with clients on technical matters only, as needed.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, or a closely related field.
8–10+ years of environmental consulting experience.
Demonstrated experience working in both federal and state regulatory environments.
Experience supporting environmental permitting and compliance.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple deliverables.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting environmental components of infrastructure projects.
Familiarity with SPCC, UST/AST, or similar regulatory programs.
Prior QA/QC responsibility on environmental deliverables.
Role Boundaries (Clarity for Candidates)
This role is not responsible for:
Full project management or invoicing
Portfolio planning or program leadership
Business development strategy or capture leadership
Success in This Role Looks Like
Deliverables are completed on time with minimal rework.
Technical issues are anticipated and addressed, not escalated late.
Project leadership experiences reduced technical execution burden.
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
