StarTimes Nigeria is hiring an Assistant Zonal Director for Solar Sales in Enugu. This full-time role involves developing sales strategies, managing teams, and driving revenue growth in the solar energy sector. The candidate should have at least 5 years of sales experience, preferably in renewable energy, and strong leadership skills. Responsibilities include optimizing sales operations, building partnerships, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Job Summary


We are seeking a results-driven and experienced Assistant Zonal Director - ESS to support the Zonal Director in leading solar sales operations within the assigned zone. The ideal candidate will develop and execute effective sales strategies, manage teams and partnerships, drive revenue growth across multiple market segments, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction in the fast-growing solar energy sector.

Key Responsibilities



Develop and execute a comprehensive solar sales strategy aligned with overall company objectives.
Set, monitor, and manage ambitious sales targets to achieve zonal growth goals.
Identify and capitalize on new revenue opportunities in residential, SME, institutional, and corporate markets.
Drive sustainable sales growth through all active channels, including direct sales and partnerships.
Lead and optimize direct sales operations for maximum efficiency and performance.
Spearhead corporate and institutional sales efforts targeting schools, cooperatives, SMEs, and government agencies.
Build and maintain strong, strategic relationships with partner banks and financial institutions.
Negotiate and manage vendor agreements, service level agreements (SLAs), and key partnerships.
Collaborate closely with bank relationship managers to generate high-quality leads and opportunities.
Ensure effective territory coverage, optimal sales deployment, and resource allocation.
Monitor sales pipeline, conversion rates, customer acquisition costs, and other key performance metrics.
Promote timely, accurate reporting and data-driven decision-making across the team.
Facilitate seamless handovers between sales, installation, and after-sales service teams.
Champion customer satisfaction initiatives to drive referrals, repeat business, and positive testimonials.
Address and resolve escalated customer issues related to sales commitments promptly.
Continuously monitor competitors, pricing strategies, and emerging market trends to maintain a competitive edge.
Ensure full compliance with company policies, banking partner requirements, and all relevant regulatory standards.
Provide regular market insights, performance reports, and strategic recommendations to executive management.

Requirements



Minimum of 5 years of proven sales experience, preferably in solar energy, renewable energy, fintech-enabled products, consumer durables, or related B2B/B2C sectors.
At least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role managing sales teams or territories.
Strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Economics, or a related field (Master’s degree or relevant certifications are a plus).
In-depth knowledge of solar energy solutions, energy storage systems (ESS), financing models, and the Nigerian renewable energy market is highly desirable.
Excellent negotiation, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.
Proven ability to work with financial institutions, banks, and partners to drive lead generation and sales.
Strong analytical skills with experience in pipeline management, CRM tools, and performance metrics.
Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Self-motivated, target-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to travel within the zone as required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and sales tracking software.
