True North Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Senior Environmental Consultant in Naperville, IL, with 5-8 years of experience. The role involves conducting environmental site assessments, preparing technical reports, overseeing construction, and coordinating with vendors. Local travel (50-75%) is expected, along with occasional out-of-state travel. We are seeking a self-motivated Senior Environmental Scientist with 5-8 years of experience to join our team in Naperville, Illinois, and become an integral part of our continued success. The full-time position will provide task-level support to project managers and engineers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Environmental Site Assessments - Phase II, Soil CharacterizationTechnical report preparation (Phase II Site Investigation, UST/LUST, Site Remediation Program)Construction OversightPreparation of field documents (notes, forms, photographs, figures, logs)Technical understanding and interpretation of state voluntary clean-up programs and leaking underground storage programsCommunicate project task status, schedule, findings, and recommendations to staff and senior consultantsCoordinate with various vendors for project executionOccasionally, you may collaborate with co-workers in other departmentsLocal travel of 50-75% is expectedOccasional travel out-of-state and 2nd/3rd shift or weekend work may be required from time to timeQualificationsEducation: BA/BS in Science Related DisciplineYears of Experience: 5-8 YearsStrong proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Experience with AutoCAD and GIS programProfessional Licenses/Certifications Preferred: OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPERA valid driver’s license and personal vehicle are also requiredMedical approval by the Company's appointed physician, after employment is accepted, prior to the first day of work
