Environmental Field Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a self-motivated Field Technician to join our team in Naperville, Illinois, and become an integral part of our continued success. The full-time position will provide task level support to project managers and engineers.

Responsibilities and Duties
• Field sampling (Soil)
• PID screening
• Coordinating with laboratory for analysis
• Spray painting proposed soil boring locations
• Preparation of field documents (notes, forms, photographs, figures, logs)
• Communicate project schedule, findings, and recommendations to staff and senior consultants
• Daily local travel is expected
• 2nd/3rd shift or weekend work may be required from time to time

Qualifications and Skills
• Education: BA/BS in Science Related Discipline, or an Associate Degree in a related field, or OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER and current with annual refresher certification
• Years of Experience: 0-4 Years (0 with a degree, at least 1 year of experience with no degree)
• Strong proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Professional Licenses/Certifications Preferred: OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER and 8 Hour HAZWOPER Refresher
• A valid driver’s license and personal vehicle are also required
• Medical approval by the Company's appointed physician, after employment is accepted, prior to the first day of work
