Project Manager, SAP (12-Month Renewable Contract), Johannesburg

Smart4 Energy is seeking a Senior SAP Project Manager for a 12-month renewable contract in Johannesburg. The role requires over 7 years of experience in IT project management, particularly with SAP implementations. We are looking for an experienced SAP Project Manager to lead the delivery of enterprise SAP projects, preferably with exposure to SAP Group Reporting.




Key Requirements




7+ years experience managing IT implementation projectsProven delivery of projects valued at R5m+ as the primary Project ManagerExperience with SAP implementations (Group Reporting highly advantageous)Comfortable working at senior level, but strong intermediate PMs will also be consideredStrong working knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologiesAgile certification is requiredHands-on experience using Azure DevOps for project tracking and reportingSolid experience with Microsoft Project / Project OnlineStrong understanding of project governance, including: Project charters and plans, Billing schedules and milestone invoicing, Change control and status reporting, Steering Committee reporting and presentationsProven ability to manage teams, clients, and stakeholders, including 3rd‑party vendorsStrong understanding of project financials, including: Revenue, costs, and gross margin, Milestone-based billing, Cost control and margin trackingExcellent communication skills, with experience engaging senior stakeholders and C‑suiteConfident, accountable, and self‑driven - someone who owns delivery end to end
