Job Description

Envu is hiring a Commercial Development PPM & Stored Grain Manager in Nairobi, Kenya. The role involves driving growth in pest management and grain protection, identifying business opportunities, and managing customer networks across East Africa. Key responsibilities include business development, partner management, and performance management. GET TO KNOW YOUR AREA:

Develop and drive the growth of Pest Professional Management (PPM) and Stored Grain businesses, including pest control products, grain protection, storage, and post-harvest solutions. The role focuses on identifying business opportunities, building customer and partner networks, and achieving sales targets and profitability across East Africa.




YOUR MISSION WILL BE TO:

Key Tasks & Responsibilities




1. Business Development:

Identify, qualify, and convert new opportunities with pest control companies, agricultural distributors, cooperatives, mills, traders, storage agencies, and post-harvest actors.

Define and execute country-level market penetration strategies.

Build and manage a strong sales pipeline with regular reporting.




2. Customer & Partner Management:

Develop, manage, and grow a strong network of commercial partners.

Provide distributor training, commercial support, and demand planning.

Conduct regular field visits.




3. Performance Management:

Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

Manage sales forecasts and payment follow-ups.

Monitor market trends and competitive dynamics.

Support and execute marketing strategies to grow Envu’s market visibility, topline growth, and market share.







Key Working Relationships

Internal: Commercial team, Marketing team, and Supply team.

External: Pest control companies, crop customers, NGOs, institutions, authorities, distributors, and cooperatives.







ARE YOU READY FOR THE ROLE?

Qualifications & Competencies




Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, Agronomy, Agriculture, Commercial Management, or equivalent.Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales or business development within agriculture, agro-industry, post-harvest solutions, crop protection, or related technical fields.Proven experience working across African markets.Experience with tenders and institutional stakeholders (such as WFP, FAO, national food security agencies) is highly desirable.Fluent in English and French; knowledge of Swahili, Amharic, or other local languages is an advantage.Strong organizational and multi-country coordination skills.Excellent interpersonal, intercultural communication, negotiation, and closing skills.Results-driven with strong commercial acumen.
