Sustainability Officer

SENWES Ltd. is seeking a Sustainability Officer in Klerksdorp, South Africa, to support sustainability strategies by managing Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives. Responsibilities include monitoring ESG performance, coordinating sustainability reporting, and ensuring environmental compliance. Candidates should have a BSc Honours degree in a related field and at least 3 years of experience in sustainability or environmental management. This is a full-time position.
Senwes, a leading agricultural company, is looking for a qualified Sustainability Officer to join our team.


The purpose of this role is to support the company’s sustainability strategy by coordinating Environmental, Social, and Governance initiatives, integrating sustainability into operations, managing ESG data and reporting, and ensuring environmental compliance in line with regulatory requirements.


In this position, you will be responsible for:


Supporting the development and implementation of sustainability and ESG initiatives across the business.Monitoring and reporting on environmental and sustainability performance, including ESG metrics and carbon data.Coordinating sustainability reporting, documentation, and communication to internal and external stakeholders.Driving sustainability awareness, campaigns, and employee engagement initiatives.Ensuring environmental compliance, including conducting assessments, audits, and providing NEMA guidance.
Qualifications and Experience
