Job Description

Global Corporation is seeking a Locum EHS and Sustainability Officer in Dubai, UAE. The role involves supporting the implementation and maintenance of EHSS management systems, promoting safety and sustainability culture, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Key responsibilities include data management, risk reduction, incident prevention, and process improvement. Candidates should have a relevant bachelor's degree, certifications in EHSS, and 4-6 years of related experience.
Main purpose of job
To provide operational and systems support for the implementation and maintenance of Environmental Health Safety & Sustainability (EHSS) management systems including OSH and environmental and sustainability initiatives, emergency preparedness, BCPs, and other programs. The role supports risk reduction, incident prevention, and the promotion of a strong safety and sustainability culture while administering EHSS platforms to ensure accurate real-time performance monitoring and reporting, process improvement, and compliance with relevant legislation, accreditation, and certification requirements.



Key responsibility areas

Support the implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of EHSS management systems and related programs.
Coordinate and support OSH, environmental sustainability, emergency preparedness, and BCP activities.
Administer EHSS platforms to ensure effective system use, accurate data management, and reliable reporting.
Maintain EHSS reports, records, and performance indicators.
Support risk reduction and incident prevention through monitoring, reporting, and follow-up actions.
Promote a positive safety and sustainability culture through day-to-day operational support and engagement.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and support standardisation of EHSS workflows.
Support compliance with applicable legal, regulatory, accreditation, and certification requirements.
Assist with audits, inspections, investigations, and corrective action tracking.


Required education

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, or related field attested by relevant authorities such as MOHESR.
NEBOSH, IOSH, ISO 14001/45001/22301 Internal or Lead Auditor certification.
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and relevant emergency preparedness and sustainability certifications are desirable.
Certification or training in data analytics, reporting tools, or digital system administration is desirable.
Postgraduate qualification in EHSS, sustainability, business continuity, or process improvement is an advantage.


Required experience
Minimum 4-6 years of experience in EHSS, sustainability, environmental management, business continuity, risk management, incident investigation, emergency preparedness, or related roles with practical exposure to management systems support, digital administration, data analysis and validation, KPIs monitoring, compliance audits, and process improvement.



Required job skills and knowledge

Verbal and written communication skills in English
Computer literacy (Microsoft Office)
EHS related laws and regulations
Healthcare regulatory requirements on EHS standards and policies
Data analysis and reporting
Incident investigation and root cause analysis
Knowledge of UAE laws and regulations and JCI standards
Ability to investigate OSH and environmental incidents and conduct OSH and environmental risk assessments
Knowledge of federal laws
