Global Corporation is seeking a Sustainability Environmental Specialist in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The role involves supporting environmental and engineering services, ensuring project compliance with quality and sustainability standards, and performing site inspections. Job summary
In this role you will contribute to the delivery of environmental and engineering services by supporting site activities, technical evaluations, and project coordination tasks. You'll help ensure our work aligns with quality standards, project requirements, and environmental best practices while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across various stages of project delivery. This position offers the opportunity to develop hands-on technical experience and grow your expertise within a fast-paced, solutions-driven environment.


Under general supervision, performs routine duties. Displays knowledge and abilities to evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to meet basic engineering and construction specifications. Displays application of sound professional judgment on details of work. Independently performs walk-downs and inspections of installed commodities to assure conformance with specifications and design. Performs quantity surveys for tracking and reporting. May provide technical direction to drafters, technicians, and surveyors.



Qualifications

UAE national with a family book (mandatory in line with Emiratisation and UAE labour requirements).
Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, environmental science, sustainability, civil engineering, or a related discipline.
2-3 years of relevant experience supporting environmental sustainability or engineering projects within the built environment.
Strong understanding of environmental and sustainability principles with the ability to apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
Ability to perform site walkdowns, inspections, and field assessments to verify conformance with design specifications and construction requirements.
Experience preparing or supporting quantity surveys, tracking data, and technical reporting.
Demonstrated ability to exercise sound professional judgment when evaluating project details and technical findings.
Familiarity with environmental standards, permitting requirements, and sustainability frameworks (e.g. LEED, Estidama, BREEAM) is an advantage.
Proficiency in common engineering and environmental software tools (e.g. AutoCAD, Excel, GIS tools; depending on role needs).
Strong communication and coordination skills with the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams including drafters, technicians, and surveyors.
High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work under general supervision while managing assigned tasks independently.
