Job Context: Samahar is a leading institute that conducts large-scale research with funding from the Government of Bangladesh, the World Bank, ADB, JICA, and various development partners. Samahar is inviting applications for the position of Manager- Vocational Skills Development Expert from eligible Bangladeshi talented for the “Skill for Economic Transformation Project”. The Employment Services Expert will plan, direct and run the day to day activities as well as Capable of facilitating youth participation in pertinent industries, particularly focusing on female and disadvantaged group engagement through targeted training, provision of career information and advice, and enhancing employer hiring processes Especially in EZs, EPZs, IZs, HTPs, and STPs. Ability to communicate effectively with people on all levels both inside and outside the organization on issues that could be complex or sensitive in nature. Lead the team by motivating them to their goals & support them in identifying their improvement areas & coach them to enhance their skill/capacity. Female applicant will get preference.


Job Responsibilities:



Expertise on mainstreaming Environmental and Social Management Framework (ESMF) and preparing VLTC-specific Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP).
Ability to communicate effectively with people on all levels both inside and outside the organization on issues that could be complex or sensitive in nature.
Expertise on undertaking and follow up monitoring to ensure that proposed mitigation measures are implemented according to an agreed upon environmental and social mitigation implementation plan.
Ability to prepare report (monthly, quarterly, field monitoring) on the safeguard risks with appropriate actions to be taken for all sub projects and ensure that timely actions are taken.
Ability to lead on developing and delivering a series of spot checks to ensure safeguards policies are properly implemented at grassroots level in line with the guideline.
Ability to follow up the integration of safeguard assessment information and completion of safeguards self-screening Checklist during the project/program development process.

Expertise on compiling quarterly, biannual and annual reports on safeguards related issues and deliver to the programme as part of the M&E report;
