Sustainability Manager (India)

Thermax Limited is seeking a Sustainability Manager in Maharashtra, India, to lead their sustainability and ESG initiatives. Responsibilities include carbon accounting, resource efficiency, compliance with global ESG frameworks, and managing sustainability reporting. The role involves collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders to enhance ESG performance and achieve decarbonization targets. This is a full-time position with no specific degree requirement.
Function/Department: Corporate HSELocation: PuneReports to: Head – HSEJob PurposeDrive Thermax’s sustainability and ESG agenda through carbon accounting (Scope 1, 2 & 3), resource efficiency, circular economy initiatives, and sustainability reporting. Ensure compliance with global ESG frameworks (BRSR, GRI, CDP, TCFD, DJSI, EcoVadis) and integrate sustainability across business functions.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement sustainability and ESG strategies aligned with business goals.Lead carbon footprint assessment, net-zero roadmap, and renewable energy initiatives.Drive water balance studies, waste reduction, and circular economy programs.Manage ESG reporting, disclosures, and compliance with statutory and global frameworks.Collaborate with sourcing for supply chain sustainability and sustainable procurement.Conduct climate and biodiversity risk assessments and aspect-impact studies.Engage internal stakeholders and external partners to enhance ESG performance.
