GKN Automotive is seeking a New Product Introduction (NPI) Demand Planning Lead in Bowling Green, OH. The role involves end-to-end Supply Chain planning for new programs, coordinating SIOP readiness, and ensuring project milestones are met. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree and 2-5 years of supply chain experience, with expertise in forecasting and demand planning. The position offers a salary of $80K–$100K and is full-time.
Position: New Product Introduction (NPI) Demand Planning Lead A day in the lifeYou start your morning scanning the latest demand signal and supplier commits. A quick SIOP (Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning) readiness huddle reveals a capacity pinch at a key supplier. You rebalance material flow, update the master schedule, and align stakeholders from procurement to customer service. By midday, you review project KPIs, course-correct to keep milestones on time and within budget, and host a brief training to reinforce policy and standards compliance. The afternoon is for implementing a new SC/IT solution that tightens master data discipline and improves forecast accuracy—another step toward a safer, smoother flow of goods. You finish with a division-wide check-in, ensuring the Supply Chain strategy is consistently executed across product lines.What you will ownEnd-to-end Supply Chain planning for new programs and launches.Coordination from suppliers through to customers to secure SIOP readiness and launch stability.Project plans, KPI dashboards, and on-time/on-cost delivery of Supply Chain initiatives.Best-practice deployment in material flow, capacity planning, inventory optimization, and SC/IT solutions.Communication and training that drive compliance with policies and standards in a safe environment.Support for executing the Supply Chain strategy across the Division and Product Line.What you bringBachelor’s degree (any field).2–5 years in manufacturing or operations leadership with a Supply Chain focus.Expert-level capability in Forecasting & Demand Planning, SIOP/MPS/MRP, Scheduling, Master Data Management, and IT solutions.Practitioner-level strength in Strategic Planning, Inventory Management, Project Management, and Business Process Excellence.Outstanding communication, follow-through, self-management, and organizational skills.APICS CPIM or CSCP certification preferred.Proficiency snapshotBachelor's DegreeShipping/Receiving familiarity and coordinationERP & MRP Systems fluencySupply Chain Management fundamentalsWhy you’ll love it hereA supportive, collaborative team that values continuous improvement.Opportunities to drive innovation across planning, systems, and execution.Membership in the Supply Chain Center of Excellence, shaping best practices.Ready to architect launch-ready plans that delight customers and optimize resources?
