Job Summary:

The Packaging Head at Kimirica Hunter International will be responsible for overseeing and managing all packaging-related operations, from design to execution. This individual will play a pivotal role in ensuring the packaging is not only aesthetically aligned with the Kimirica Hunter brand but also sustainable, cost-efficient, and functional. The Packaging Head will lead a team, collaborate with various departments, and manage relationships with suppliers to deliver high-quality packaging solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Packaging Strategy and Leadership:
Lead the packaging department, setting clear objectives and goals for packaging design, development, and production.
Work with senior leadership to define packaging strategies that align with Kimirica Hunter’s brand and business objectives.
Supervise and mentor the packaging team, ensuring alignment with company culture, and fostering a creative and innovative atmosphere.

Packaging Design and Development:
Collaborate with design, R&D, and marketing teams to create innovative and attractive packaging that reflects the premium quality of Kimirica Hunter products.
Ensure packaging solutions provide optimum protection and functionality, while also contributing to an appealing aesthetic and enhanced consumer experience.
Drive the development of custom packaging solutions for new products and product launches.

Sustainability Initiatives:
Lead and champion sustainability initiatives within the packaging department, including the adoption of eco-friendly materials and packaging solutions.
Research and implement sustainable packaging practices, working to minimize environmental impact and meet corporate sustainability goals.

Cost Management and Optimization:
Oversee the packaging budget and work to identify areas of cost-saving without compromising on quality.
Ensure packaging materials are sourced efficiently and manage packaging production costs to optimize profitability.

Quality Control and Compliance:

Develop and enforce quality control standards for packaging to ensure that all products are safely packaged and compliant with local and international regulations.
Collaborate with supply chain and production teams to ensure seamless packaging integration, from design to delivery.

Supplier and Vendor Management:
Manage relationships with packaging suppliers and manufacturers, negotiating contracts and ensuring timely delivery of materials and components.
Continuously evaluate supplier performance in terms of quality, cost, and sustainability, ensuring they meet Kimirica Hunter's high standards.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Work closely with marketing, sales, and production teams to ensure packaging is aligned with marketing campaigns and production timelines.
Provide packaging expertise in support of product development and branding efforts.

Reporting and Documentation:

Regularly report packaging performance, cost analysis, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior management.
Maintain detailed records of packaging specifications, vendor contracts, and project timelines.

Qualifications:

Degree in Packaging Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
Post Graduate Diploma in Packaging from IIP is preferred.
10+ years of experience in packaging, preferably within the personal care, cosmetics, or luxury goods industry.
Proven track record in packaging design, development, and implementation.
Strong knowledge of packaging materials, production processes, and sustainability practices.
Experience managing budgets, leading teams, and collaborating with cross-functional team
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills:
Experience in the personal care, cosmetics, or luxury goods industries.
Knowledge of regulatory standards and best practices in packaging for consumer products.
Master’s degree or certifications related to packaging engineering or sustainability.
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
