HB NEXT is seeking a part-time Environmental Consultant / SWPPP Inspector in the Port St. Lucie area. The role involves conducting stormwater inspections on construction sites, ensuring environmental compliance, and documenting findings. Candidates should have erosion certification or be willing to obtain it, along with prior construction experience. HB NEXT is actively seeking a part-time Environmental Consultant / SWPP Inspector based in Port St Lucie/Vero Beach/Fort Pierce area to support our expanding operations in the region. This role is ideal for a self-motivated, detail-oriented professional who enjoys working outdoors, values flexibility, and is passionate about environmental compliance in the construction industry. Key Responsibilities Conduct stormwater and NPDES inspections on construction sites Collaborate with site personnel to ensure compliance with environmental regulations Document findings and provide recommendations using HB NEXT’s proprietary software Travel to various job sites across the region Requirements National or Florida Erosion Certification (or equivalent), or the ability to obtain within 60 days (training available through HB NEXT) Prior construction or field inspection experience highly preferred Reliable personal transportation Strong communication skills and a self-starter mindset Benefits Part-time Flexible work hours Vehicle reimbursement (fixed rate + mileage) On-the-job training (including OSHA, CPR/First Aid certification) Opportunities for professional growth and career advancement Work Environment This is a field-based role with most work performed outdoors on active construction sites.
