Job Description

Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust is seeking a Community and Visitor Engagement Officer for their Far Ings Visitor and Education Centre in Barton-upon-Humber. The role involves engaging visitors and communities about nature, providing excellent visitor experiences, and working with volunteers. Candidates should have experience in visitor engagement, a passion for wildlife, and good communication skills. This is a permanent position, requiring three days of work per week, including weekends.

We are looking for someone to work as part of the Far Ings Visitor and Education Centre team to provide an excellent experience to all visitors.


This is an incredibly varied post that would suit someone with an interest in visitor engagement, retail, working with volunteers and inspiring people with incredible wildlife experiences.


Ideally, you will have experience of working in a visitor (or customer) and volunteering environment. A good working knowledge or enthusiasm for wildlife and environmental issues would be beneficial.


You should have an outgoing personality, be comfortable communicating with people of all ages and abilities, be computer literate and have some experience in basic administration.


The post will involve working with wide-ranging audiences and the successful candidate will be required to undertake a criminal record check.


This is a permanent position, three days a week, including weekends.
