Chief​/Head Approvals​/Environment Clearance and Forest Clearance

Vedanta Limited is seeking a Chief/Head Approvals for Environment and Forest Clearance in Dhenkanal, Odisha. The role involves obtaining necessary clearances for mining operations and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. Candidates should have over 15 years of experience, a post-graduate degree in Geology or Environmental Sciences, and a proven track record in greenfield mining. To partner with us in this exciting journey and unlock new values for the business, we are looking for passionate professionals for the position of Chief/Head Approvals (EC & FC) for Mines Aluminium business. This role will be crucial for commencing new mining operations and to achieve the business’ vision.

THE OPPORTUNITY:
• Obtaining Environment Clearance (EC) for preparation of Environment Impact Assessment (EIA) / Environment Management Plan (EMP).
• Obtaining Stage-I and Stage-II Forest Clearance for the mine and issuance of Forest Clearance of Over Land Conveyor Corridor (OLCC) of the project, wherever required.
• Coordinating with statutory bodies for obtaining timely Environment & Forest Clearances for coal and bauxite mines.
• Collaborating with Land and R&R team for allotment of CA Land.
• Facilitate for public hearing/ gram sabhas to ensure social license for mines’ operationalization.
• Design and execute governance system for monitoring of environmental and other statutory compliances as stipulated in EC & FC approvals.

SUCCESSSFUL APPLICANT:
• 60% and above through education.
• Proven Track record of commencing green field mines.
• High quality, result oriented leader with hunger to drive transformational change.
• 15+ years of relevant experience.
• Post-graduate in Geology / Environmental Sciences or graduation in Engineering
