Job Description

The LiRo Group is seeking a Senior Environmental Project Manager for their Mineola, NY office, requiring 25% field work. The role involves managing environmental compliance projects, overseeing field staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, and preparing technical reports. Candidates should have 10+ years of experience in hazmat code compliance and relevant certifications. Recently, Global Infrastructure Solutions Inc. (GISI), the parent company of The LiRo Group and Hill International, Inc. consolidated a portion of the highly experienced staff of both LiRo and Hill in the Northeast to create a larger, more efficient, and cost-effective team to serve clients. LiRo-Hill is a 1100-person firm with offices in NYC, Long Island, Buffalo, Rochester, Boston and Edison, NJ.

Responsibilities



Manage environmental compliance projects for public facilities, including schools (NYC SCA experience preferred)Oversee and direct a large field staff conducting asbestos, PCB, and lead-based paint (LBP) surveys and abatementsEnsure full compliance with EPA, NYS, and NYC DEP regulations related to asbestos, lead paint, and moldProvide hands-on leadership and support for field operations and project executionPrepare, review, and maintain detailed technical reports and ensure proper document controlDevelop, manage, and track project budgetsCollaborate with accounting and billing teams to ensure accurate project close-out

Qualifications

Minimum 10+ years of experience in hazmat code compliance, preferably with public facilitiesStrong knowledge of EPA, NYS, and NYC DEP regulations related to asbestos, lead paint, and moldRequired certifications:NYS DOL Asbestos InspectorProject DesignerProject MonitorOSHA 10-hour and 30-hour certifications requiredProven experience managing field staff and complex environmental projectsStrong report writing and document control skillsExperience in budget preparation and financial management

We offer a comprehensive benefits package and a positive work environmentCompensation: Minimum: $75.00/HR – Maximum: $85.00/HR. The range provided is the salary that the Firm in good faith believes at the time of this posting is willing to pay for the advertised position. Exact compensation will be determined based on the individual candidate's qualifications and location.
