Job Description
Green Infrastructure Partners is hiring a Sales Coordinator for Construction Materials in Markham, ON. The role involves building customer relationships, supporting sales activities, managing quotes and bids, and providing operational support. Candidates should have a degree in Business or Marketing, 3+ years of sales experience, and product knowledge in construction materials. The position offers a salary of CA$50,000 - CA$65,000, benefits, and opportunities for career advancement.
SUMMARY
The Sales Coordinator, Construction Materials will be passionate about building and maintaining customer relationships with a focus on increasing asphalt and aggregates sales volumes and company revenues.
PRIMARY SCOPE OF ROLE
SALES SUPPORT & CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT
• Prospecting and acquiring new accounts.
• Maintaining strong working relationships and build loyalty with new and existing customers and providing a direct or supportive sales role as appropriate.
• Support outside sales staff.
• Maintain sales cycle for assigned customers.
• Favorably resolving customer complaints in accordance with company policy and industry best practices.
QUOTING, BIDDING & PRICING ADMINISTRATION
• Maintain customer quotes and assist with preparation of bids.
• Preparation and distribution of price quotes and appropriate follow-up.
OPERATIONAL & ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT
• Support construction materials management activities. Including but not limited to arranging travel, meeting documents and assisting in reporting.
• Assisting with the collection of customer receivables according to company policy as required.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
• Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business, Marketing or related technical program.
• 3+ years of experience and success in a sales environment ideally with related product sales experience in the construction industry.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Proven sales, negotiation and customer service skills
• Asphalt and aggregates product knowledge or the willingness to learn.
• Able to occasionally travel overnight.
WHAT WE OFFER:
• Expected Base Salary: $50,000 - $65,000 per year. The actual base salary will depend on several factors including experience, qualifications, internal equity, work location and market expectations.
