Roof Technician

Nova Renewables is seeking a Roof Technician in Vienna, VA, to install energy efficiency items like attic fans and insulation. Responsibilities include lifting heavy materials, climbing roofs, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The job is part-time, on the road, and requires an active driver's license and construction experience. Pay ranges from $19.04 to $20.00 per hour, with commission opportunities.
We are a full-service nation-wide solar provider focusing on quickly growing in the Virgina and the surrounding areas.
In order to continue growing at the rate we are, looking to add a Roof Technician to install energy efficiency items in our customer's homes. The majority of the job entails installing attic fans, and blowing in attic insulation.
Our solar roof technician is responsible for installing rooftop solar fans as well as installing blow- in insulation in to our solar customer's attics for maximum energy savings. The job responsibilities include:
• Reporting to the manager and confirming the schedule, which is maintained on Google Calendar.
• Lifting heavy materials, climbing ladders, and moving about on roofs and inside attics
• Staying up to date on local, state, and federal codes to install and maintain materials according to regulations
• Cutting, the roof and installing the fan according to manufacturer guidelines.
• Blowing in cellulous insulation into the attics
• Choosing and configuring setup locations
• Communicating with the homeowner, ensuring they know all the work and are pleased with the final result.
• Taking photos of the work, and uploading all job site photos immediately to the Google folder.
• Safe driving and storage of the company truck.
• Communicating with the manager at the end of the day to ensure the schedule was maintained.
• Occasionally installing new energy efficient smart thermostats.

Pay: From $2,000.00 per month

Qualifications
• Must have a active driver's license with a safe driving record.
• Proficient in using hand and power tools for roofing tasks
• Strong background in construction and roofing techniques
• Ability to read blueprints and perform construction estimating
• Capable of heavy lifting and working on construction sites
• Knowledge of stucco application and fabrication processes
