Upwork is seeking a Report Editor & QA Specialist for Fleet Sustainability Consulting Reports. The role involves reviewing and editing consulting reports for grammar, consistency, and adherence to branding standards. Candidates should have a keen eye for detail, experience with professional documentation, and familiarity with Google and Microsoft Office tools. The position is remote, ongoing, and requires responsiveness under tight deadlines.
We are a consulting and technology business focused on helping organisations transition their fleets to sustainable and zero-emission operations. Our work spans the development of strategic fleet transition plans, optimisation of existing fleet operations, and infrastructure and energy planning for public and private sector organisations.

Our team regularly produces detailed consulting reports and deliverables that are provided to our clients, including local councils, government agencies, and fleet operators. These reports follow either BetterFleet’s internal branding or strict client-provided templates and must be of the highest professional standard.

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and reliable freelancer to support our team by reviewing these consulting reports prior to submission to clients.

The scope is provided in detail below:

Review draft consulting reports (usually in Google Slides, Docs and Sheets or in some cases Microsoft Office equivalent) to ensure correct grammar, spelling, and sentence structure throughout the document.

Check for consistency in tone, formatting, terminology, and language style across all sections.

Ensure alignment with BetterFleet’s internal report templates or the client’s branding and formatting requirements, including logos, fonts, headings, spacing, layout, and use of charts and graphics.

Provide light copy editing where needed to enhance clarity and flow, while preserving technical accuracy and meaning.

Ensure the final deliverables are highly professional and ready for direct submission to senior stakeholders.

You will be working with reports that are technical and strategic in nature, covering topics such as:

Fleet electrification roadmaps

Financial and operational modelling

Charging infrastructure strategies, specifications and conceptual designs

Emissions and sustainability reporting

Stakeholder engagement and survey findings

Comparative analysis of technology and procurement pathways

We are looking for someone fast, responsive, has an exceptional eye for detail, and ideally has experience working with professional services, management consulting or government documentation.

You must be confident working in Google Slides, Docs and Sheets (as well as Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel) and comfortable working under tight deadlines. Familiarity with Australian English and government-style writing conventions is a strong advantage.

You will be provided with:

A draft report or presentation from one of our consultants

A copy of the applicable style guide or template (BetterFleet or client-specific)

Clear expectations on turnaround times and level of polish required

Additional requirements:

Willingness to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) before commencing work

Preferably located within ±5 hours of Sydney time (AEST) to ensure ease of communication and collaboration
