Experienced Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) Practitioner Needed for Chemical Product

Upwork is seeking an experienced Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) practitioner for a chemical product project. The role involves developing an LCIA using OpenLCA and the Ecoinvent database. Candidates should have experience in LCA modeling, EPD development, and the ability to document processes. The position is remote, contract-based, and offers a pay range of $15–50 per hour. Relevant project samples are required with applications.
We are seeking an experienced Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) practitioner to support the technical development of an LCIA for a chemical powder product. The assessment will be conducted using OpenLCA (preferred), and the Ecoinvent database (not provided by us).

Project Details:

•The product consists of approximately 12 materials, along with several ancillary inputs.

• We will provide a robust dataset, but some data validation and review would be welcomed.

• The final LCA should be suitable for Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs).

Ideal Candidate:

• Experienced in LCA modeling with OpenLCA.

• Familiar with Ecoinvent database and its application in LCAs.

• Has previously developed EPDs.

• Able to document and share the LCA development process with our team.

• Capable of providing support and training to enhance our internal expertise.
