SCS Global Services is seeking a Contract Auditor, Technical Specialist I for Product Climate Verification in Owensboro, KY. The role involves reviewing Life Cycle Assessments and Environmental Product Declarations, preparing verification reports, and ensuring client communication. Position: Auditor, Technical Specialist I, Product Climate Verification OverviewThe Contract Auditor, Technical Specialist I, Product Climate Verification is responsible for supporting the Critical Review and Verification of Life Cycle Assessments (LCA), Environmental Product Declarations (EPD). Key responsibilities include reviewing Life Cycle Assessment data and supporting documentation, verifying Environmental Product Declaration data, preparing verification reports, and maintaining clear communication with clients to ensure accuracy and transparency in life cycle reporting. This is a contract position. We are looking for a Technical Specialist I in the US.Relevant Services / SchemesEnvironmental Claims ValidationISO 14025 Environmental Labels and Declarations – Type IIIISO 14044 Life Cycle Assessments Environmental Management – LCAISO 21930 Sustainability in Buildings and Civil Engineering WorksLife Cycle Assessment (LCA)Product Category Rule (PCR)Environmental Product Declaration (EPD)Other relevant schemesEssential Duties And Responsibilities Technical ServicesComplete audits and reports within the prescribed timelineComplete audits by adhering to the agreed timeline, reporting deliverables, and professional requirementsIssue verification findings and write audit reportsLead the documentation, communication, and closure of audit findingsCommunicate in a timely and professional manner with internal staff and external clientsContribute to the development of verification report and verification statement reportsQuality ManagementMaintain thorough and current working knowledge of program standards and protocolsRecommend and implement program changes as needed to maintain SCS’s compliance with ISO quality standards and/or scheme requirementsParticipate in the internal and external audit process as neededSupport the development of quality templatesAssist in updating product literature and documentation including manualsMaintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable protocols and standardsMinimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field and 2+ years of professional experience in a related fieldMaster’s Degree in a relevant field and 1+ years of professional experience in a related fieldExceptional quantitative and critical‑thinking skills for evaluating complex data setsExcellent writing, communication, and organizational skillsProficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and AccessInitiative and ability to work independently; responsive and adaptive to team environmentPreferred Qualifications Experience in auditingAdvanced Excel proficiency and experience using data management systemsLife Cycle Assessment Certified Practitioner (LCACP)Certified LCA Reviewer (CLAR)Working RemotelySCS is recruiting all open roles to be remote; allowing our employees the ability to work flexibly and allowing SCS as a company to diversify the experience and perspectives of our growing workforce.
