Job Description
ATR International is seeking an Electronics Test Technician in Poway, CA, to join the Avionics team. Responsibilities include testing, troubleshooting, and repairing electronic systems for aerospace technology. Candidates should have an associate's degree or equivalent experience, strong electronics knowledge, and hands-on skills with test equipment. The position requires active security clearance and offers various benefits. It is not a remote position.
Our Client is a global leader in remotely piloted aircraft, tactical reconnaissance radars, and advanced high-resolution surveillance systems We are seeking an Electronics Test Technician to join our Avionics team in the PWA Test Group You'll be responsible for testing, troubleshooting, and repairing advanced electronic systems and assemblies to support mission-critical aerospace technology.
Security Clearance: Active clearance preferred ability to obtain and maintain DoD clearance required.
Key Responsibilities
• Set up, perform, and analyze experiments and tests per established procedures accurately record results.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in electronics systems and equipment down to the PWA/component level.
• Interpret and work from schematics, mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, block diagrams, and technical publications.
• Operate and maintain test equipment including DMMs, oscilloscopes, power supplies, signal generators, and similar tools.
• Repair electrical, electronic, and integrated circuits with precision.
• Provide technical guidance, training, and support to other technicians.
• Ensure proper use of materials, tools, and equipment to maximize efficiency.
• Collaborate with team members to resolve technical challenges escalate complex issues as needed.
• Adhere to safety protocols, especially when working with high-voltage, high-pressure, high-energy, cryogenic, or other hazardous systems.
Requirement:
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
Required Qualifications
• Associate's degree or equivalent plus 2+ years of related experience 3+ years of direct experience accepted in lieu of degree.
• Military or technical school training in test/experimental operations preferred.
• Strong knowledge of electronics fundamentals: Ohm's Law, op-amp circuits, AC/DC conversion.
• Proficient with RF systems, communications, and RF components (amplifiers, filters, oscillators, mixers) skilled in diagnosing RF issues.
• Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, voltmeters, digital multimeters, function generators, LabVIEW, and programming tools (ICD 2/3/4, CPLD, J-Link).
• Strong attention to detail, adaptability to changing priorities, and effective communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and documentation.
• Team-oriented mindset with a positive, solution-focused attitude.

Compensation
Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education, and experience, as well as the benefits package you select.
