About the Job

This position is part of the lithium resources organization and reports directly to the Senior Director Resources Strategy and Business Planning. You will be responsible for leading and managing resource extraction studies, including Scoping and Pre-Feasibility, to support strategic decision-making and project development.

Key responsibilities include:
• Leading multi-functional resource studies to deliver scoping, conceptual, pre-feasibility, and feasibility studies in line with Albemarle project planning process and industry best practices on time and budget
• Managing technical, economic, environmental, and social aspects of studies to ensure alignment with corporate strategy
• Overseeing risk assessments, trade-off analyses, and optimization studies to enhance project value
• Engaging with internal and external stakeholders, including engineering firms, consultants, and regulatory bodies

About You

We are looking for a highly experienced professional with a strong background in mining-specific projects' early study phases, including mega projects. Key qualifications include:
• Bachelor of Engineering / Science in a resource related field (Mining / Geology / Metallurgy)
• 15+ years of experience in mining-specific projects' early study phases, including mega projects (>$1Bn)
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Knowledge of financial modeling, cost estimation, and project evaluation techniques
• Familiarity with mining regulations, permitting processes, and ESG considerations
