The Role

We’re seeking to engage a Regional Manager, Energy Transition ANZ to join our team. This role can be based in any of our main offices across Australia, and will include travel.

You’ll be responsible for providing leadership and operational direction to the activities of the Energy Transition ANZ Region in collaboration with the other discipline leaders and in consideration of the wider SJ Group business.

This position ensures the operational and technical excellence and performance of the Energy Transition ANZ Region with the effect of growing the SJ Group Energy Transition function through optimal people, commercial, business development, client relationship management and project performance.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Provides operational, technical and business development direction for sub sectors in the ANZ Region to support SJ Group’s vision and values;
• Manages the profit and loss for the sub sector in the ANZ Region
• Ensures capability development and mobilisation of Regional sub sector resources;
• Manages sub-sector client relationships in the ANZ Region
• Effectively manages and leads a team of nominated direct reports to ensure optimal performance, resourcing, retention and professional development.

About You

Suitable applicants will be/have:
• Tertiary qualifications in appropriate discipline (essential)
• Post graduate qualifications in appropriate discipline (highly regarded)
• Project Management qualification (desirable)
• Typically has 15+ years’ industry experience, is well networked within Energy Transition ANZ
• In depth knowledge of the relevant Industry Standards and the application of these standards;
• Thorough understanding of the external market and skills to translate this knowledge to strategies, projects and people;
• High level communication skills, including negotiating and resolving highly complex commercial, technical and people matters;
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and theories and capacity for continuous learning;
• Ability to lead and manage multi-disciplinary teams across multiple locations;
• Actively participates in industry forums and workshops;
• Strong leadership and motivational ability;
• Analytical, conceptual and creative thinking, coupled with customer orientation, proven management skills and commercial and business awareness.
