Job Summary:

The Valuation & Capital Market Analysis Manager is responsible for managing, executing and delivering challenging valuation engagements by participating in all aspects of projects, from the initial proposal preparation through project completion. In this role, the Valuation & Capital Market Analysis Manager is actively engaged in the origination and management of multiple valuation assignments, as well as managing staff in the development of such assignments. In addition, the Valuation & Capital Market Analysis Manager will be charged with assisting with the internal appraisal review process.

Job Duties:
Performs related company, industry and economic research Understands client financial statementsConstructs financial modelsApplies acceptable appraisal methodology and conceptsDetail and explain the valuation methodology and concepts in the written appraisal reportExplains and defends the finished product under a review scenarioDocuments and maintains all appropriate aspects of work productComposes and prepares narrative reports in support of valuation analysesPrepares necessary exhibits and memos in illustration of complex issuesEnsures quality controls are adhered in association with all work productsParticipates in internal and external client meetingsAssists and provides guidance to peers and staff members in the development of project plans and timelines for deliverablesOther duties as required
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervises the day-to-day workload of Senior Associates and Associates on assigned engagements and reviews work product within a single or multi-disciplined valuation assignments Ensures Senior Associates and Associates are trained on all relevant valuation databases and modelsAssists in the evaluating the performance of Senior Associates and Associates and assists in the development of goals and objectives to enhance professional developmentDelivers periodic performance feedback and completes performance evaluations for Senior Associates and AssociatesActs as Career Advisor to Valuation personnel as appropriate
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Education
Bachelor's degree required; focus in Engineering or Finance, preferred
Experience:
Five (5) or more years of personal property valuation experience in a Big 4 or national valuation firm environment, recently in a management capacity, requiredSignificant experience in personal property valuation for financial reporting and accounting purposes, requiredExperience in personal property valuation for financing and leasing purposes, preferredExperience for providing valuation opinions and support for litigation purposes, preferredExperience in the appraisal review process, preferredASA, RICS or other valuation industry credentials, preferred
License/Certifications:
ASA, RICS or other valuation industry credentials, preferred
Software:
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, PowerPoint and Word, preferred
Language:

High verbal and written communication skillsHigh analytical and research skills Solid organizational skills, especially ability to meet project deadlines with a focus on detailsAbility to successfully multi-task while working independently or within a group environmentProven ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously Capable of effective managing a team of valuation professionals and delegating work assignments among multiple valuation disciplines as neededCapacity to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and client personnel Ability to encourage team environment on engagements and contribute to the professional development of assigned personnelExecutive presence and ability to act as primary contact on assigned engagementsAbility to successfully interact with professionals at all levelsAbility for intermittent travel within the US and internationally, required
Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.

National Range: $120,000 - $140,000

Maryland Range: $120,000 - $140,000

NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $120,000 - $140,000
