Environmental, Health, and Safety Representative

Biewer Wisconsin Sawmill is looking to add a full-time Environmental, Health, and Safety Representative to our team in Prentice, WI. This position will have problem-solving skills and the ability to use good judgment in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule: M - F (8 am - 4 pm)

Accountabilities:
• Implement and maintain a variety of environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure the highest possible degree of safety.
• Carry out site safety training, monitoring, auditing, recordkeeping, and more while ensuring compliance with state and federal OSHA regulations and standards.
• Create a culture of safety and engagement to support safety goals.
• Prepare and maintain necessary air and storm water permits and air emission monitoring and reporting.
• Maintain the hazard communication program, SDS documents, and chemical labeling/containers.
• Complete safety orientations for new employees.
• Coordinate with maintenance for proper guarding and safety measures.
• Organize and lead safety committee meetings and programs.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or at least 2 years related experience in safety, environmental, or health management and compliance.
• OSHA 10 certificate; OSHA 30 is preferred.
• First Responder/First Aid/CPR/Bloodborne Pathogens training/cert.
• Must be self-motivated, reliable, and able to work unsupervised.
• Proficient computer skills and ability to use a variety of programs (Microsoft and Google platforms).
• Superior interpersonal skills and verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to bend and lift 15 lbs and stand for up to 80% of a shift.

Pay: $62,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
