Wanzek is seeking a Construction Manager I for solar logistics to lead utility-scale solar projects across the US. As a Construction Manager, you will be responsible for directing, planning, and managing all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in full compliance with company safety standards and operational procedures.
Your role will vary by project and client, offering a dynamic and rewarding challenge with each new project.


Location & Travel Details:
You'll get the opportunity to travel across the US, helping our team build renew able projects.
This is a traveling position (up to 100%), where you will be onsite at a project location.
You have the potential to be placed on a project site located in any state throughout the US.
You'll spend 8-12 months on average per project.
We offer designated daily per diem in addition to base pay to support and help you cover living expenses.
This position is eligible for routine travel home (rotation) from the jobsite.
A company vehicle and fuel card will be provided.

Responsibilities

Promote and comply with all Company and safety policies and procedures Oversee all construction activities, specific to assigned discipline, on assigned project Construct the project and work with the management team to maximize the profit of the project Monitor and oversee construction activities and personnel within the delivery timelines, including development plans and training requirements Keep Construction Manager II/III informed of overall construction activity progress & performance along with monitoring and review of construction key performance indicators Cooperate with all matters relating to health and safety, including following safe working procedures at all times Act as a role model for the company's vision and values, behaving in ways that are in alignment with the company's ways of working while encouraging other to do so as well Promote equality in the workplace and adopt appropriate behavior when interacting with colleagues Take necessary care to properly protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of corporate information from unauthorized disclosure, modification or destruction Build, Supervise & lead teams Communicate effectively with crew leads on goals and expectations Ensure the Foremen manage crews and subcontractors to provide a safe work environment Manage the Foremen with the CM II/III to facilitate and environment for all Foreman and crews to work in a respectful, constructive and positive environment Manage the construction package elements of the procurement process Monitor contract performance against project milestones, budget and other established metrics Care for and sustain business relationships with multiple clients Work with the CM II/III to ensure Client expectations are being met, along with the agreement and scope of work Build and maintain a relationship with Client Site Representatives to ensure open communication and trust Ensure all work in assigned discipline is done to the company Safety and Quality standards Be proactive in equipment management, preventing equipment damages and planning of equipment resources .
