Our client, a prominent entity in the renewable energy sector, is actively seeking a Senior Geothermal Energy Engineer to join their growing operations in Dehradun, Uttarakhand . This role is crucial for developing and optimizing geothermal power projects, contributing to India's clean energy future. The successful candidate will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of geothermal projects, from initial site assessment and resource evaluation to project design, construction oversight, and operational management. You will leverage your deep understanding of subsurface geology, thermodynamics, and power plant engineering to maximize energy extraction efficiency and project viability.

Key Responsibilities: Conduct detailed geological and geophysical surveys to identify and assess geothermal resources. Perform reservoir engineering analysis, including fluid flow modeling and heat transfer calculations. Design and optimize geothermal power plant systems, including well design, piping, turbines, and power generation equipment. Develop project feasibility studies, economic analyses, and environmental impact assessments. Oversee the drilling and completion of geothermal wells, ensuring safety and efficiency. Manage the construction and commissioning phases of geothermal power plants. Monitor plant performance and implement strategies for operational optimization and maintenance. Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental regulations and safety standards. Collaborate with internal teams, external consultants, and regulatory bodies. Stay abreast of technological advancements and best practices in geothermal energy development. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Geological, Mechanical, or Petroleum preferred), or a related field. Master's degree is a plus. Minimum of 8 years of experience in geothermal exploration, development, or power plant engineering. Strong understanding of geology, geophysics, reservoir engineering, and thermodynamics. Proficiency with reservoir simulation software and geothermal project planning tools. Experience with well drilling operations and geothermal fluid handling systems. Knowledge of power plant design, construction, and operation. Excellent project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and negotiation abilities. Familiarity with Indian energy policies and regulatory frameworks. A commitment to sustainable energy solutions.
