Job Description

San Miguel Corporation is seeking a Safety and Environment Officer in General Trias, Cavite, Philippines. Candidates should have a degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, preferably with BOSH certification and three years of experience in occupational safety in manufacturing. Responsibilities include developing safety programs, ensuring compliance with regulations, conducting inspections and investigations, and maintaining safety records. This is a full-time position.
QUALIFICATIONS

Graduate of BS Mechanical / Electrical Engineering

Registered Engineer is an advantage

With at least three years working experience in leading the Occupational Safety and Health team in a manufacturing industry
Preferably with BOSH certificate

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop, implement and conduct Safety Programs such as: Unsafe Acts / Unsafe Conditions, 5’S, Forklift Rules 7 Regulation, Emergency Response Drill, Fire Brigade team, First Aid team.

Maintaining liaison with any Government entity to ensure company’s compliance and be abreast with the requirements of the company and government (DOLE laws & regulations)

Assists DOLE, SMC-CTS, SAFETY and other authorized personnel to conduct safety and health inspections, accident investigations or any other related program and provides necessary documents and data as may be required.

Provide advice on matters pertaining to health and safety for the guidance of the Management and the workers.

Conduct investigations of accidents and submits separate reports and analysis of accidents to Management to prevent occurrence of the same.

Maintains or helps in the maintenance of an efficient accident record system, documents and coordinates actions taken by supervisors to eliminate accident causes.

Conducts scheduled inspection, monitoring and maintenance of all fire fighting equipments and its improvements.

Oversees and ensures all Safety Programs are implemented and continuously practiced in coordination with the company representative
