Job Description
We are seeking an Environmental Educator / Coordinator to spearhead our initiatives in promoting sustainability and environmental awareness within the community. This role primarily focuses on developing, implementing, and evaluating educational programs aimed at fostering an understanding of environmental issues and encouraging sustainable practices. Key Responsibilities
Design and deliver engaging educational programs and workshops that address current environmental challenges and sustainable practices. Collaborate with schools, community organizations, and local governments to promote environmental education initiatives. Evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs and modify them based on feedback and assessment results. Organize and coordinate community events, such as clean-up days and tree planting initiatives, to strengthen community involvement in environmental issues. Develop and maintain educational materials, including presentations, handouts, and online resources. Lead training sessions for volunteers and staff to enhance their knowledge of environmental issues and educate them on program logistics. Manage social media and digital platforms to disseminate environmental information and promote upcoming events. Stay informed on latest research, trends, and policies related to environmental education and sustainability. Requirements
National Diploma in Environmental Management 3 Years experience in Environmental Education Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage diverse audiences. Demonstrable experience in project coordination and community outreach. Ability to work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders, including educators, community members, and local officials. Proficiency in using digital platforms and social media for educational outreach. Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
