O&M Field Tech Apprentice – Solar Field

Hanwha Convergence USA is hiring an O&M Field Tech Apprentice for solar field maintenance in Fort Collins, CO. The role involves assisting technicians with the upkeep of solar equipment, troubleshooting, and ensuring site safety. Basic electrical knowledge and Microsoft Office skills are required, while experience with CMMS and electrical testing is preferred. The position is physically demanding, requiring work outdoors and the ability to lift heavy items.

Position Summary:

The O&M Field Technician Apprentice position is to assist other site technicians in the routine site maintenance of the

inverters, transformers, combiner boxes, trackers, modules, etc. An O&M Field Technician Apprentice will work closely

with trained personnel to improve their knowledge and skills in the solar industry.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities:

Maintain and repair inverters, trackers, and other systems on site. Perform retinue testing and repair of DC electrical circuits. Troubleshoot and repair faulty equipment. Manage on site inventory and equipment. Ensure site safety and security. Perform electrically safe testing procedures on all components on site before maintenance begins. Log and record all maintenance activities performed. Adhere to all site safety requirements including LOTO, PPE, and safe working practices. Perform all solar site activities not listed above.

Required:

Education and/or Experience Requirements:

Basic Microsoft Office software experience (ie Outlook, Excel)Basic electrical principles knowledgeBasic understanding of common hand tools

Preferred:

Experience using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) programsElectrical testing equipment knowledge (multimeter, IV Curve Tracer, etc.)Basic SCADA system monitoring and application experienceMedium and High Electrical Voltage experience0-2 Years of solar experience

Required:

Physical Requirements / Work Environment:

Ability to mostly work in an outside environmentLifting items greater than 35 poundsWalking on uneven groundAbility to handle temperature extremes.Able to wear and safely utilize all PPE required to perform tasks.

COMPENSATION: $19 hr
