What You'll Do

As a Traveling Solar Field Service Electrician, you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing utility-scale solar energy systems that power thousands of homes and businesses.

Responsibilities include:

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on utility-scale solar sitesTroubleshoot electrical and mechanical issuesTest, repair, and replace electrical equipmentService solar inverters, transformers, switchgear, combiner boxes, and associated equipmentRead and interpret electrical schematics and one-line diagramsPerform electrical testing and diagnosticsComplete service reports using tablets and mobile applicationsWork directly with customers and internal engineering teamsFollow OSHA, NEC, and company safety standardsTravel extensively to project sites throughout IllinoisQualificationsRequired

Current Illinois Electrician License (Journeyman or equivalent)Strong electrical troubleshooting skillsExperience reading electrical schematics and one-line diagramsMechanical aptitudeExcellent communication skillsValid driver's license with a clean driving recordAbility to pass a background check, MVR, and drug screenComfortable traveling up to 100%Preferred Experience
