Helios Energy LLC is seeking a licensed Journeyman Electrician for solar and electrical construction projects in Clinton, IL. This full-time role involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems for solar energy, EV infrastructure, and battery storage. Candidates must have an Illinois Journeyman Electrician License and at least one year of experience. The position requires travel to project sites and offers a competitive pay range of $40.00 - $50.00 per hour.

We are seeking a licensed Journeyman Electrician to join our field operations team. This position is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems associated with solar energy projects, EV charging infrastructure, battery storage systems, and commercial electrical construction projects.
Position Summary
The Journeyman Electrician provides hands-on field expertise while ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards and applicable electrical codes. This role works closely with Project Managers, Construction Supervisors, Apprentices, and other field personnel to support project execution and customer satisfaction.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems on commercial and industrial projects.Perform electrical installations for solar PV systems, battery energy storage systems (BESS), EV charging stations, and related infrastructure.Read and interpret electrical drawings, plans, specifications, and single-line diagrams.Install conduit, wiring, panels, switchgear, disconnects, transformers, and associated equipment.Conduct equipment testing, commissioning, and startup activities.Troubleshoot electrical and control system issues and implement corrective actions.Perform preventive maintenance and service work on existing installations.Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC), OSHA regulations, and company safety policies.Complete service reports, daily logs, job documentation, and material tracking accurately and timely.Assist with training and mentoring apprentices and less experienced electricians.Coordinate activities with subcontractors, customers, and project teams.Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and ongoing training initiatives.Travel to project sites as required.Required Qualifications
Current Illinois Journeyman Electrician License required.Minimum 1 year of experience as a licensed electrician.Strong knowledge of NEC requirements and electrical construction practices.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and construction documents.Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Ability to perform the physical demands of the position, including lifting and carrying 50+ pounds, climbing ladders, working at heights, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.Preferred Qualifications
Experience with commercial solar installations.Experience with EV charging systems and battery storage systems (BESS).OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification.NFPA 70E Training.CPR/First Aid Certification.Experience working on commercial or utility-scale projects.Benefits
