Visual Communications Inc. (Visual) has helped its clients develop brand experiences for over 60 years. We design, engineer and fabricate spaces for clients large and small in a wide breadth of industries.

We are looking for a designer with 2– 6 years of experience to help create unique concepts for a variety of applications including trade show exhibits, retail displays, corporate interiors, road shows, and more.

The right team member should be able to handle projects from start to finish, delivering innovative designs that awe and inspire. They should also be able to take existing designs and simply re-brand them.

Can you wear many hats, thrive in a fast-paced environment, juggle multiple projects and work both independently and in collaborative, group initiatives? Then this might be the right position for you.

Responsibilities:

· work with Visual team members as well as directly with clients to develop designs that fuse brand presence, experiential marketing and environmental aesthetic into a seamless solution

· create beautiful visuals that can be used to clearly illustrate proof of concept

· pitch conceptual ideas with an understanding of how to best execute (& sell!) them

· understand construction techniques and the use of materials to maintain design intent throughout the process

· run point from concept to completion, working with sales, estimators, engineers, carpenters and graphic designers … to remain on budget and on schedule

· remain up to date on the latest design, experiential, marketing, technology and retail trends

· travel occasionally to client presentations or be on site during installation of a project to help with client modifications and continue to confirm design continuity

Skills
3D modelling (FormZ/ VRay a plus…or the willingness to learn it) Adobe Creative Suite/MS Office experience Proficiency presenting to internal and external teams Flexibility Creative thinking and Problem solving Mastery of materials
