Health Safety Environmental Technician

Introduction

This role coordinates, implements, and executes tasks to maintain a proactive plant-specific program to achieve Plant Safety and Health goals and objectives. The position acts as the Plant resource for Safety and Health information on procedures, guidelines, and standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience with Safety and Health programs- 5 Years Experience in a Chemical Plant- 1 year Knowledge of EHS (Environmental Health & Safety)- 5+ years Certifications: CSE Rescue, 7OE, Hazmat HAZWOPER. Prior work experience at client or in client's Industry. Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications OSHA PSM regulation knowledge. Basic First Aid - National Safety Council (NSC). Adult CPR certification. Day-to-Day Responsibilities Ensure the implementation of day-to-day Safety and Health programs. Evaluate PPE available and make best selections to meet needs/requirements. Conduct safety meetings to cover OSHA and site-required training topics. Inspect machinery, equipment, and working conditions to ensure compliance with occupational safety and health regulations.
