Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Environmental Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean and safe environment within our facilities, particularly in hospital settings. This position requires a strong understanding of environmental services, custodial practices, and compliance with OSHA regulations. The Environmental Specialist will ensure that all areas are sanitized and maintained to the highest standards, contributing to the overall health and safety of our patients and staff.

Responsibilities
• Adhere to safety and sanitation policies.
• Adhere to storage, handling and disposal of RMW, Hazmat, solid waste and linen.
• Maintain and adhere to Environmental service uniform and personal appearance standards at all times.
• Report all hazards and unsafe work conditions.
• Focus on patient experience and follow all standards.
• Collaborate with leadership with recommendations for a better patient experience.
• Manage service recovery as needed.
• Foster a culture of commitment to the vision, mission and values of our organization.
• Participate in team and individual employee training.
• Participate in training with senior housekeepers to further development in the industry.
• Correctly utilize supplies and resources at all times to eliminate waste.
• Follow all time keeping standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Practice and adhere to the Code of Conduct and Mision Statement.

Experience
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations related to workplace safety and sanitation practices is highly desirable.
• 1 year experience in healthcare.
• 1 year experience in housekeeping or a related service field.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating excellent communication skills.
