Job Description

Virtual Vocations Inc is seeking a Climate Risks Agrometeorologist Specialist to analyze climate hazards affecting agriculture, assess climate trends, and integrate climate risk into project proposals. Candidates should have an advanced degree in a relevant field, five years of experience in climate adaptation and agrometeorology, and proficiency in English and Arabic. Familiarity with programming (R), GIS software, and strong analytical skills are required.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze climate-related hazards and their impacts on agriculture using national data
Assess historical and future climate trends and their implications for project areas
Support the integration of climate risk considerations into project funding proposals

Required Qualifications

Advanced university degree in climate science, environmental sciences, agricultural climatology, or a related field
At least five years of relevant experience in climate change adaptation and agrometeorology
Working knowledge of English and Arabic
Familiarity with programming languages (R), GIS software, and climate risk assessments
Strong analytical skills and experience with climate policies related to agriculture and food security
