Job Description

Amazon Web Services is seeking an Associate Corporate Counsel to support global sustainability and regulatory compliance. The role involves advising on ESG due diligence, regulatory changes, and operationalizing compliance policies. The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams and support customer-facing sustainability initiatives. A license to practice law in Europe, the US, or another common law jurisdiction and 2+ years of legal experience are required. This is a full-time position based in London.
Experteer Overview
In this role you support AWS’s global sustainability and regulatory posture by advising on ESG due diligence, reporting frameworks, and policy engagement. You’ll counsel on regulations for data center hardware across design, manufacture, distribution, use, and disposal, helping the business adapt to changes. You work with cross-functional teams to operationalize compliance policies and programs, including ESG reporting and customer-facing sustainability initiatives. You’ll join a global legal team that enables responsible growth of AWS data center operations.

Pay / Benefits
• Counsel on sustainability/ESG due diligence and reporting frameworks globally
• Advise on regulations for design, manufacture, procurement, distribution, use and disposition of data center equipment
• Inform business of upcoming regulatory changes
• Advise on regulatory compliance policies and processes
• Support policy engagement strategies and advocacy
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sustainability, supply chain, engineering, product compliance, data center operations)
• Support innovative AWS customer-facing sustainability programs and ESG reporting efforts

Tasks
• License to practice law in Europe, US or other common law jurisdiction
• 2+ years post-qualification legal experience in-house or private practice
