Fluor Corp is seeking an Assistant Project Manager - Environmental in Santa Clara, CA. The role involves supporting the Project Manager in managing a 500-mile transportation project, coordinating with consultants, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies, and assisting in project scope, schedule, and budget management. Candidates should have a degree in environmental studies and relevant experience in infrastructure projects, particularly in environmental document delivery and transportation regulations.

Job Description
The system will connect the 500-mile stretch between the Los Angeles region with the San Francisco Bay Area, with up to 24 stations. The first phase of the program is currently under construction in California’s Central Valley.
Reports to: Project Manager, Los Angeles to Anaheim
Assists the Project Manager and Assistant Project Manager in the management of the project section through preliminary engineering for project definition. Support the Project Manager and Assistant Project Manager in managing the regional consultant, responsible for quality, on-time delivery of environmental clearance documents.



Support the management of the regional consultant responsible for the delivery of the environmental clearance documents

Assist in the development and management of scope, schedule, and budget for the delivery of the project section

Manage coordination between interdisciplinary teams

Support coordination with local jurisdictions, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies

Support Southern California Regional Director

Other duties maybe assigned
Basic Job Requirements Accredited four (4) year degree in environmental studies or global equivalent in applicable field of study and seven (7) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to ten (10) years if non-degreed
Other Job Requirements Experience in managing the delivery of environmental documents, analyses, and reports for project section approval on major infrastructure projects, experience with major federal and state funded transportation projects, familiar with transportation projects and disciplines
Proven knowledge of various phases and functional responsibility of rail project and transportation infrastructure project development and delivery, federal and state contracting laws and regulations; knowledge of various phases of NEPA and CEQA processes to achieve Record of Decision and Notice of Determination for major infrastructure projects

Market Rate Statement: The market rate for the role is typically at the mid-point of the salary range; however, variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.

Salary Range: $107,000.00 - $193,000.00
