Metas Energy Team is seeking a commercially experienced and self-motivated energy professional to help build and run a wholesale market operations and compliance program that supports Atem Energy, LLC and Metas data center energy goals. Atem Energy, LLC is a Meta affiliate that is seeking authority to participate in U.S. wholesale electricity markets. This position sits within Metas Energy Team and will support Atems market operations and compliance while also contributing to Metas broader global energy strategy./ppRequired Skills:/pulliEnergy Manager/liliMarket Operations Compliance/li/ululliLead all compliance activities associated with wholesale market participation, including Electronic Quarterly Reports (EQR) and other Federal Energy Regulatory Commission filings/liliDevelop and implement compliance tracking and reporting programs in collaboration with Legal partners/liliEnsure all compliance-related obligations are met, including disclosure protocols for affiliates and upstream entities/liliSupport continued evolution and execution of Metas wholesale supply strategy for domestic and potentially international data centers/liliStay informed of the technical, market, and regulatory developments in the energy industry and communicate key trends, risks and potential impacts to management/liliManage vendor relationships to ensure reporting and manage wholesale market positions/liliEngage with external power marketers, independent power producers, utilities, and other stakeholders to facilitate transactions and related compliance/liliSupport the contracting and negotiation phase for energy supply agreements, ensuring all MBRA requirements are considered/liliDevelop in-house expertise on wholesale market products and services, including in MISO, SPP, and PJM/liliTravel domestically (10-25% at times)/li/ulpMinimum Qualifications:/pulliBachelors degree in a business, engineering, environmental, or energy related discipline/lili8+ years experience in facilitating, evaluating, or tracking wholesale capacity and energy transactions and projects/liliExperience leading compliance with FERC market-related requirements/liliExperience working with detailed financial models of energy projects and transactions, identifying key risks and sensitivities, and leading all related due diligence efforts (financial, commercial, technical, development)/liliExperience collaborating across multiple internal functions, including legal, compliance, finance, and accounting/liliExperience representing business interests to the leadership teams of potential suppliers, utilities, governments, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders/liliExperience in utility and grid interconnection, capacity accreditation, and wholesale electricity market transaction processes/liliProven precise communication skills/liliExperience synthesizing commercial, regulatory, market, and contractual details to all organizational levels/liliExperience managing multiple projects and collaborating with internal staff, utility providers, consultants, and external stakeholders/liliProficiency in standard document and analytics platforms, including any needed to facilitate compliance or transaction tracking and reporting/liliProven track record building and running FERC compliance programs/li/ulpPublic Compensation:/pp$152,000/year to $221,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits/ppIndustry:/ppInternet/ppEqual Opportunity:/ppMeta is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.
