Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Solar Energy Project Manager to join their growing team in Indianapolis, Indiana, US . This role is pivotal in overseeing the successful development and execution of solar energy projects from conception through completion. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of solar technology, project management principles, and a proven track record in managing complex energy infrastructure projects. You will be responsible for all aspects of project management, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, risk management, and stakeholder communication.

Key Responsibilities include:
Manage the full lifecycle of solar energy projects, ensuring timely and within-budget completion. Develop detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements. Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) teams to ensure seamless project execution. Oversee project budgets, track expenditures, and manage change orders effectively. Identify and mitigate project risks, developing contingency plans as needed. Ensure compliance with all relevant permits, regulations, and safety standards. Manage relationships with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders. Conduct site visits and progress monitoring to ensure project quality and adherence to design. Prepare and present regular project status reports to senior management and clients. Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment. Oversee the commissioning and handover of completed solar energy projects. Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management processes and methodologies within the company. Evaluate and select vendors and contractors based on technical capabilities and cost-effectiveness. Ensure all project documentation is accurate, complete, and well-organized. Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during project execution. The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, with a PMP certification being a strong asset. A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in project management, with a significant focus on solar or renewable energy projects, is required. Proven ability to manage large-scale projects and complex stakeholder landscapes is essential. Strong understanding of solar technologies, PV systems, and relevant industry standards is crucial.
