Our client, a pioneering company at the forefront of the renewable energy sector, is seeking an experienced Senior Process Engineer to join their dynamic team in Indianapolis, Indiana, US . This role is critical in optimizing the design, development, and implementation of innovative processes for energy generation and storage solutions. The successful candidate will leverage their engineering expertise to drive efficiency, safety, and sustainability in our operations, contributing directly to the transition towards a cleaner energy future.

Responsibilities: Lead the design, analysis, and optimization of industrial processes related to renewable energy technologies. Develop process flow diagrams, P&IDs, and equipment specifications. Conduct feasibility studies and techno-economic analyses for new process technologies. Oversee the implementation and commissioning of new process equipment and systems. Troubleshoot operational issues and implement corrective actions to improve process performance. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and industry best practices. Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and project management teams to achieve project goals. Manage process engineering aspects of capital projects, including scope, budget, and schedule. Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to operations personnel. Stay abreast of advancements in renewable energy technologies and process engineering techniques. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline. A Master's degree is a plus. Minimum of 7 years of experience in process engineering, with a significant focus on the energy sector, preferably renewable energy. Proven experience in process design, simulation (e.g., Aspen Plus), and scale-up. Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer principles. Experience with safety analysis techniques (e.g., HAZOP). Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills. Proficiency in CAD software and process simulation tools. Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Knowledge of energy storage technologies or solar/wind power generation processes is highly desirable.
