Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Geothermal Energy Engineer to join their operations team in Port Harcourt, Rivers, NG . This role is critical to the advancement and management of our geothermal energy projects, contributing to Nigeria's renewable energy landscape. The successful candidate will be responsible for the technical oversight of geothermal exploration, drilling, reservoir management, and power plant operations. This position requires a strong background in geoscience, reservoir engineering, and power generation technologies related to geothermal energy.

Key responsibilities include evaluating geothermal resource potential, planning and supervising drilling campaigns, and optimizing reservoir performance for sustainable energy extraction. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including geologists, geophysicists, and power plant engineers, to ensure the efficient and safe operation of geothermal facilities. The role involves developing and implementing reservoir simulation models, monitoring production and injection wells, and conducting performance analyses. You will also play a key role in the permitting process, environmental impact assessments, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of thermodynamics, fluid flow in porous media, and geothermal power plant cycles. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills are essential. You should be adept at interpreting geological and geophysical data, managing large datasets, and making informed technical decisions. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required to effectively liaunt with internal teams, external stakeholders, and regulatory bodies. This role will involve regular site visits to operational areas.

Qualifications:
Master's degree or PhD in Geothermal Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related geoscience field. Minimum of 8 years of experience in the geothermal energy sector or related fields (e.g., oil & gas reservoir engineering). Proven experience in geothermal resource assessment, exploration, and development. Proficiency in reservoir simulation software and data analysis tools. Strong understanding of drilling operations and well completions. Excellent project management and communication skills. Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
