Our client, a renowned architectural firm known for its innovative and sustainable designs, is seeking a talented Senior Architectural Designer to join their prestigious team in Indianapolis, Indiana, US . This role requires a blend of creative vision, technical expertise, and project leadership experience. You will be responsible for leading design efforts on significant projects, from conceptualization through construction documentation, ensuring high-quality outcomes and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities: Lead the design development process for architectural projects, translating client needs and visions into compelling design solutions. Produce high-quality architectural designs, including conceptual sketches, renderings, 3D models, and detailed construction documents. Collaborate effectively with clients, project managers, engineers (structural, MEP, civil), and consultants throughout all project phases. Ensure design integrity, aesthetic quality, and compliance with building codes, zoning regulations, and accessibility standards. Develop and present design concepts to clients and stakeholders, articulating design rationale and solutions. Oversee and mentor junior designers and architects, providing guidance on design principles and technical execution. Coordinate with consultants to integrate structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems seamlessly into the architectural design. Conduct site analysis and feasibility studies for new projects. Research and specify building materials, systems, and finishes, considering performance, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness. Manage project timelines and deliverables related to design and documentation, ensuring projects stay on track. Stay current with architectural trends, new technologies, and sustainable design practices. Qualifications: Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) or Master of Architecture (M.Arch) degree from an accredited institution. Minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience in architectural design, with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse project types. Licensed Architect (RA) in the state of Indiana or NCARB certified with the ability to obtain licensure is highly preferred. Proficiency in advanced architectural design software, including Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and rendering programs (e.g., 3ds Max, V-Ray). Strong understanding of building codes, zoning ordinances, and construction best practices. Excellent creative, conceptual, and problem-solving skills. Superior communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients and team members. Experience in sustainable design principles and LEED accreditation is a plus. Demonstrated ability to lead design teams and manage project phases effectively.
