Our client, a forward-thinking energy company, is seeking a motivated Renewable Energy Analyst to join their market development team. This role is based in our office located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, US . You will be responsible for conducting in-depth market research, financial modeling, and feasibility studies for new renewable energy projects. Your analysis will support strategic decision-making regarding solar, wind, and other clean energy initiatives. This position requires a strong understanding of energy markets, regulatory landscapes, and project finance principles. You will collaborate closely with business development, engineering, and legal teams to identify and pursue new opportunities in the renewable energy sector. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and passionate about driving the transition to sustainable energy sources.

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive market analysis for renewable energy technologies, including solar, wind, and battery storage. Develop financial models to assess the economic viability and profitability of potential projects. Evaluate regulatory frameworks and policy incentives impacting the renewable energy sector. Prepare detailed feasibility studies and investment recommendations. Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and technological advancements. Collaborate with the business development team to identify and prioritize new project opportunities. Support the negotiation of power purchase agreements (PPAs) and other project contracts. Develop presentations and reports for senior management and stakeholders. Analyze grid interconnection requirements and potential challenges. Contribute to strategic planning for the company's renewable energy portfolio expansion.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 4 years of experience in energy market analysis, project finance, or a related role within the energy sector. Proven experience in financial modeling, including DCF, LCOE, and IRR analysis. Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies and project development lifecycle. Knowledge of energy markets, regulations, and policy mechanisms (e.g., RECs, tax credits). Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Excel and experience with data analysis tools. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. Experience with GIS software or energy simulation tools is a plus.
