Our client is seeking an innovative and visionary Lead Architect specializing in Sustainable Urban Design to spearhead groundbreaking projects in city planning and development. This critical role involves conceptualizing and detailing urban environments that are not only aesthetically pleasing and functional but also environmentally responsible and socially equitable. You will lead a team of talented architects and urban planners, guiding them through the entire design process from initial feasibility studies and master planning to detailed design and implementation oversight. The focus will be on integrating green technologies, promoting walkability, optimizing resource usage, and enhancing community well-being. The ideal candidate is a creative problem-solver with a proven track record in large-scale urban development and a deep commitment to sustainable practices.

Responsibilities:
Lead the design and development of master plans for new urban developments and the redevelopment of existing areas, emphasizing sustainability. Develop innovative architectural concepts and urban design strategies that address environmental challenges and enhance quality of life. Collaborate closely with clients, government agencies, developers, engineers, and community stakeholders to define project requirements and vision. Oversee and guide a multidisciplinary design team, ensuring project objectives are met on time and within budget. Conduct site analyses, feasibility studies, and environmental impact assessments for potential projects. Integrate sustainable design principles, including energy efficiency, water management, waste reduction, and the use of renewable materials. Champion the use of advanced modeling and simulation tools to visualize and analyze design options. Prepare and present design proposals, reports, and visualizations to clients and public forums. Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, zoning regulations, and sustainability standards. Stay at the forefront of architectural and urban planning trends, particularly in sustainable and resilient design.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Architecture, Urban Planning, or a related field, with a specialization in sustainable design. 10+ years of progressive experience in architectural and urban design, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Demonstrated success in leading complex, large-scale urban development projects. Expertise in sustainable design principles, green building certifications (e.g., LEED AP), and environmental technologies. Proficiency in architectural design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp) and urban planning tools. Strong understanding of zoning laws, building codes, and regulatory processes. Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively. Experience with community engagement and public consultation processes.
