Job Description

Seacoast Bank is seeking an Investment Associate in Nashville, TN, responsible for providing financial guidance, managing client accounts, and recommending investment solutions. Key duties include business development, credit analysis, and client relationship management. Candidates should have a high school diploma (finance degree preferred), at least 5 years of SBA lending experience, and strong communication skills. Job Summary:Investment Associate

The Investment Associate provides tailored financial guidance by assisting clients with daily banking needs, managing accounts, and recommending appropriate products and investment solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development:

Establish and maintain a consistent SBA business development rhythm, including:Planning call strategies and tracking follow-up actionsConducting client retention callsProspecting for new clientsEngaging in outbound calls to connect with external contactsParticipating in networking eventsMaintain and expand a Center of Influence (COI) network of key community and business leaders to drive referral opportunitiesManage sales activities, analyze credit, structure loans, prepare and submit SBA loan packages, conduct client meetings, and assess individual attributesDevelop and nurture innovative business relationships to support growth and expansionCredit & Financial Expertise:

Demonstrates proficiency in business credit and financial tools, including:Structuring terms and solutions tailored to business requirements, asset lifecycle, and growth strategiesReviewing financial statements and tax returns to assess creditworthiness and riskEvaluating short- and long-term credit needs based on business cycles and growth plansEducating prospective clients on bank underwriting standards, SBA programs, and relevant regulatory frameworksCollaborating with attorneys, loan closers, and internal teams to ensure timely loan closing and fundingBalancing business objectives with client expectations while managing risk exposureAdhering to Seacoast Bank’s Code of Conduct, policies, and ethical standardsMentoring and supporting new SBA lending professionalsEnsuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory obligations including BSA, AML, and OFACProcessing loan applications, collecting required client information, and maintaining fair lending practicesHandling client inquiries efficiently, escalating issues when necessaryEducation & Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required; finance-related college degree preferredPreferred candidates have at least five years of direct SBA lending experienceMinimum of 10 years in business development or financial servicesStrong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skillsProficient with desktops, laptops, tablets, smartphones, and Microsoft Office Suite applications
