Job Description

Seacoast Bank is seeking an Investment Banker in Paradise Valley, AZ, to provide financial solutions, assist with banking needs, and manage client relationships. Responsibilities include business development, credit analysis, loan structuring, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Candidates should have a finance-related degree and extensive experience in SBA lending and financial services. Excellent communication skills and proficiency in technology are required. This is a full-time position.
Job Summary:Investment Banker

As an Investment Banker, you provide personalized financial solutions by assisting clients with daily banking needs, managing account setup and maintenance, and advising on suitable products and services.

Business Development:

Establish a consistent and proactive approach to SBA business growth, including:Planning and coordinating calls and tracking follow-up activitiesMaking client retention calls to maintain strong relationshipsProspecting new clients to expand the customer baseUtilizing outbound calls to connect with external contactsParticipating in networking events to foster relationshipsDevelop and maintain a robust Center of Influence (COI) network of community and business leaders to enhance referral opportunitiesManage sales activities, assess credit, structure loans, prepare and submit SBA loan requests, conduct client interviews, and evaluate individual characteristicsBuild and cultivate new business connections to support growthCredit Acumen:

Demonstrates expertise in corporate credit and lending, including:Designing terms and offerings aligned with business needs, asset lifecycles, and growth strategiesAnalyzing financial statements and tax returns to assess creditworthiness and risk for individuals and businessesAligning short- and long-term credit requirements with business sales cycles and expansion plansEducating clients on bank lending policies, SBA programs, and relevant regulationsCollaborating with attorneys, loan closers, and internal teams to ensure timely loan closure and fundingBalancing business objectives with customer needs while managing risk exposureFollowing the ethical standards outlined in Seacoast Bank’s Code of ConductProviding mentorship to junior SBA lenders for professional developmentEnsuring compliance with bank policies and regulatory frameworks, including BSA, AML, and OFAC requirementsProcessing loan applications and collecting required applicant information while maintaining fair lending practices and ethical sales standardsHandling customer concerns promptly and professionally, escalating unresolved issues as appropriateEducation and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent is requiredCollege degree in a finance-related field is preferredMinimum of five years of experience in SBA lending is desirableAt least 10 years of experience in business development and/or financial servicesExcellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skillsProficiency with desktops, laptops, tablets, smartphones, and Microsoft Office Suite
